The Industrial Engineering program offers an accelerated Bachelor’s/Master’s program. ABM program is a unique opportunity to pursue both a bachelor's and a master's degree at WVU in the same or related disciplines in an accelerated time frame. To be eligible for the ABM, students must meet the requirements for Attaining Multiple Curricula.
Use mathematical tools, computer models and information technology to provide management with the tools and strategies to improve operations.
Work with modern tools to plan and control operations to maximize production while working within cost and quality constraints.
Design and arrange workplaces, along with management strategies, to maximize employee productivity and safety in real-world situations.
Improve manufacturing processes through the application of smart sensors, automated devices and data driven modeling techniques.
The WVU Industrial Engineering Capstone Program aims to develop mutually-beneficial relationships with businesses in the community and senior-level industrial engineering students, by providing industrial engineering support. The WVU IECP supports and coordinates the senior design projects for graduating seniors.
Learn about capstones from our studentsThe discipline of industrial engineering has a rich, ever-increasing diversity of applications. Traditionally, industrial engineers have been employed by manufacturing companies to do facilities and plant design, plant management, quality control, ergonomics, and production engineering. As an industrial engineer today, you can be employed in almost any type of industry, business, or institution. Because of your skills as an industrial engineer, you are more widely accessible and in greater demand among more industries than any other engineering discipline.
